So I am trying some different editing software to see what I like best.

I recently downloaded Premiere Pro CS3 for Intel Mac (I have an intel mac). The download went well and the install is fine. However, when I go to open it it runs through the set up and then crashes before I can even get to any screen of any kind.

The ONLY thing I can see as an issue is when it is launching it is opening all my After Effects plug-ins as well as some VST plug-ins from my Komplete 5 Virtual Instruments for Logic and Pro Tools.

Obviously, something is amiss and I cannot figure out why PPCS3 won’t even launch to the interface/set-up screen.

    Any help would be appreciated.

My first suspicion is a 3rd party plug-in issue. Try moving any 3rd party plugins or plug-in folders to another location temporarily.

Which plug-ins? The Boris, Trapcode, DigiEffects, Tinderbox, etc.? Do I just move the .VST plug-ins? Or, do I just move them ALL? I thought PPCS3 was compatible with the AE video plugs. I will try the .VST first and see what happens.

    Thanks for the tip.

Moving the .VST folder did the trick.
