  CS4 and low memory issues

  By far the biggest problem with Premiere CS3 (in my opinion) is its inability to handle medium to large HD projects without encountering low memory issues (and the resulting instability).

  I was eagerly awaiting CS4, thinking that a 64-bit rewrite would certainly fix this problem, but now I’m not so sure, since Premiere remains 32-bit. I understand that running on 64-bit Vista opens up another 1-2 GB of memory for each app, but will that be enough to eliminate low memory issues on larger projects?

  Does anyone have any practical experience or information on whether this very serious limitation still exists in CS4?
