  Premiere Pro CS3 quitting when exporting movie

  I’m using Premiere CS3 for Mac and I imported several mpeg footage I took with my Sony Cybershot camera. The videos are in 640×480, but when I opened a new project I choose 720×480 DV format. Then the videos were stretched to the DV size.
  When I try to export my timeline, the render dialog shows ‘compiling…’ and nothing happens with the progress bar and Premiere is suddenly closed.
  I took one of the videos and rendered it as Quicktime movie 720×480 in AFX, and then I created another timeline with this new video and the export worked fine.
  I think the problem is the MPEG format that my CyberShot uses. Am I right?
