    Hi there!
I need a solution to my chaotic way of working. (Its not so bad)

I always capture audio and video when sometimes I need just one of them. I know that in the capture settings I can set to just capture audio or video. My problem is that I always forget to do that and capture both. (My firewire conection get lost sometime and I have to open again the capture window [F5] and the capture settings does reset and, onces again, I forget to select the one that I just need.)

It’s a waste of time to go back in the DV tape and capture the audio or video clip again.

¿Is there any way to erase from the captured file the video or audio to leave just what I need?

Any solution to my working disorder will help. Hehe. 😀

    Thanks again.

Here’s a simple solution, but this has to be done before you bring the clip to the timeline.

If you only need the audio, select the clip, then go to Clip > Audio > Extract audio. This will create seperate wav files on your drive and project panel. If you are then sure that you don’t need the video, you can select the clip and make offline > Delete media from drive.

If you only need the video, I wouldn’t worry about it as the exta weight in size with the audio is rather negligible.

Yep, the audio is rather negligible in the exta weight and size but I upload this images with PPro to work this them in After Effects.

Thanks a lot for the solutions, very heplpfull!
