  no audio on timeline playback,

  Adobie Premiere pro 2.0. New HP computer, dual core 2 GBram.
  I have audio from Computer on Music CD’s, I have audio during
  Capture of Clips. When I drag to Time line, the audio mixer shows
  sound, as does the wave form on the clip. NO Audio from Time Line.
  If I import Music to Time Line, still NO audio on play back.
  Tried many changes in Project>settings>audio playback. Nothing.
  Ready to look for a new editing system. Any suggestions?

  Audio is likely going to your deck or camera. In the Program window click on the “Output” button and then Playback Settings and then choose “Desktop Audio”.
