Hey guys, I need some help…

I have a Canopus ADVC300 video transfer device and it has been working fine until today. The reason I am posting here, is because the problem might be with Premier, maybe not.

I put in a VHS tape, and got everything set up and started the capture. Everything looked good for about 3 seconds, then the video went very dark and very red. This would happen everytime I would un-plug and plug back in the cables, or flip the digital/analog button, it would be good for a few seconds, then get really crappy.

What do you guys think? Is it Premier, the transfer device or the VHS tape (which plays just fine on my TV).

    Thank in advance…

    Stephen

Is it just one tape, possibly with copy protection?

Thanks for getting back to me Mike.

I never thought of that. The thing is I had a video transfer device by Pinnacle, and it did the same tape just fine… so I’m left scratching my head. Unfortunately I no longer have my Pinnacle device.

    What do you thing??

I thing you should try another tape…the luminance changes are typical of copy protection.
