  Is anyone out there using a Mac with Bootcamp and a 64 bit OS?

  I’m a new Mac owner. My system is an 8 core, 3.2 GHz system with 16 Gigs for RAM.

  I’ve got XP PRo on my Boot Camp partition but it’s not robust enough for my editing projects.

  Last week I foolishly purchased Vista 64 Ultimate from the download site at Microsoft and it won’t install at all. Now I’m going to get a refund on that and I’m hoping to have better luck buying and installation disk. But I’m not sure which one to buy and I can’t find anywhere that tells me how to install a 64 bit OS.

  Are any of you using a 64 bit system in Boot Camp? What kind of bugs are you finding?

  More importantly:

  Which OS did you use? Vista 64 or XP 64?

  Did you install it with a full installation disc like you would do with a fresh Boot Camp install or did you install it from the installation DVD in the Windows partition?

  Can you direct me to more information?
