    Hi,
We’ve had this problem ever since CS3 came out, and I was hoping someone may have come across an answer:

We render our footage in AE CS3, as Blackmagic AVI files. We then bring it into Premiere PRO CS3, and edit the sequence together. We then go back to each shot and make tweaks as clients ask for changes. A shot would be called shot 1, shot 1_1, shot 1_2, shot 1_3 to keep track of each shot as we revise it. In premiere when I import and edit shot 1 into the timeline, then make a revision. I make the shot offline in premiere then I relink it to the new shot – shot 1_1 etc. When I relink files, they seem to be keeping the old file instead of using the newly created file. so Even thought I’ve just relinked to shot 1_1 or 1_2, premiere is still looking at the file shot 1. This is a huge issue. Sometimes what clears this up is to unlink, link to a file in a different directory, and then do the process again. Obviously this takes twice as long. Since I have 31 composited shots in this sequece, if I makes changes it’s an hour to relink everything. Anyone else run across this?
