  Problem,converting Masks to motion paths AE 6.5

  Hi all,

  I cant seem to convert mask to motion paths!
  I copy my mask from the target menu of the layer window.
  In the timeline I select the layer whose motion path I want to define, by clicking the position stopwatch and paste.
  And instead of creating new motion keys, it creates a new mask

  Anyone know a solution to this? Im using AE 6.5 Probundle, on pc

  Probably what you’re doing is selecting the mask layer to copy. Be sure to open the mask shape property, select and copy that and paste the mask shape into the position property.

  You have to make sure the word “position” is selected in the timeline when you paste.

  Since AE can do so many things, we need to make sure that we have selected the right thing before we do just about anything.
