Save Project Error

I have premiere pro CS3, Windows XP Prof. 2Gigs of ram
dual core processor 500 Gb ext. Hard Drive[LaCie] 150gb free.
My movie on the time line 137min.
Some times i can minimize premiere than refresh the desktop Window and it will some times save the project. i need help.

I’m not sure what your problem is? That it saves or it won’t? Do you want to save, the project is 137mins that is massive! I’m thinking this will be causing some issues!

If i change the audio levels of a clip or add a new transections or effects or a Fx to my project i try to save. Thats when i get a Save Project Error. Thats means my project did not save the changes.

My project is so far is 1 Hr.1/2 long [97 Min.].

If i adjust the audio level[wave] of a movie clip or add a transitions or effects to the time line and from the file i save. Thats when i get a Save Project Error.

Do you have any mp3 or large size images in the project? These will cause issues if the mp3 file is not constant bitrate. Images too big will crash the program too. Make smaller versions of them.
But…
I would first use the Project ‘Remove unused’ feature. To remove all the footage you don’t need.
I work on bigger projects time to time (on one right now) and the over an hour is usually broken up into 20-30min projects that get sewn together with an AVI export of each project into another one for assessment.

Yes i do have a lot of Mp3 and large images in my project
I will take your advice and make some adjustment.
