  Cannon GL-2 NOT Being Read

  i have a new mac pro with the adobe cs3 production premium. when i try to connect my cannon gl-2 it says device offline. i even have gone into the device control and told premiere that it is specifically a cannon gl-2 and still get device offline. does anybody know why this is happening and a way to correct it?

  Generally, if I plug the camera and then plug it back in, that seems to work.

  Also plug the camera in first, the nthe software – that might help.

  i have tried turning the camera off and on. i have also tried unplugging and replugging the camera to the computer. does anybody know why this is happening?

  You might try double checking your output (vcr) settings within your cameras menu. Sometimes you have to search a little as the manuals don’t always tell you everything or call Canon Tech support to find the settings you need. (the manual I had didn’t.. same company different camera)
