WMV importing in adobe premiere pro CS3
Posted by Ron Dangus on April 28, 2008 at 7:00 pmHey guys,
I’m trying to edit a movie I recorded yesterday.
I converted the original 10GB avi file to a 500 MB WMV file, but premiere won’t import:It says unsupported format, which is odd, because WMV is a supported format.
Can someone help?
Thanks.Wade Sisco replied 16 years, 10 months ago 6 Members · 7 Replies -

April 29, 2008 at 7:13 amRon started with a 10 GB AVI, which he compressed to WMV prior to editing. He should edit first and then convert the result to WMV. Much better result and much smoother editing.

October 14, 2008 at 6:34 pmI am working with WMVs that i need to edit and have had no success getting them into PPro Cs3 what are you doing to get it to work did you have to download a patch or a plug in? Or did you have to set up a Project specifically to handle the WMVs?
I would love to know as i have to handle many of these a month.
thanks
Chris
