Audio/Video sync problems – Newbie
Hello everyone. This is my first post on any video help forum, so apologies in advance if I screw up!
I am trying to learn how to use Premier Pro CS3, and though it is a very slow process for me -not being any kind of expert at anything video related – I’m really enjoying it. I do have one VERY frustrating problem which I can’t seem to figure out, or maybe I’m missing something really obvious. Here’s my problem:
I have a 3 minute long video, with an accompanying audio track (a pop song). Throughout the video I have placed a static image of a light flashing, in time with the beat of the musing (about a second apart). Now, when I preview this video in Premier, the ‘light’ I have added matches up perfectly with the beat of the music all the way through to the end of the video. My problem is that it seems no matter what video format I export the video to, when I play it back in any other video player (Windows Media Player, VLC, Powerdvd etc.) the sound seems to go out of sync with my added images. Even if I export as a full movie (FILE/EXPORT/MOVIE) that also gives me audio sync problems.
Is there some kind of setting I should be using to “lock” the audio to the video before exporting, or is it something else I’m doing wrong?
