    Hi, I know nothing aobut the whole Hd thing… I have the latest premierre and have used it happily with my dv… but now I have to deliver a project on Hd, I thought this would be easy… but looking on the forums it seems really complex… could someone please put my mind at rest… If I hire a sonyZ1e will it work ok with Premiere… Is there anything I should know settings wise etc, does anyone else use this camera with Premiere and do they have any problems with it… soneone said to set the camera to HDV… If soneone could give me some guidance I am going made with this and am really worried aobut doing an HD project.. thanks

    It is perfectly safe to shoot HDV and edit HDV using Premiere Pro CS3. Your capturing is a little odd, since there is no scene detection and you can’t see the viseo on the PC as you capture. I recommend using a free program “HDVSplit” to capture unless you capture manually. Never capture over a stop/start point.

    It works, but there are ways to make it work better. Like using Cineform Aspect HD. Either way, just make sure you have a fast PC.
