Adobe Media Encoder, XP64 & MainConcept codec question
All,
Running PProCS3, Windows XP64.
I’m using AME to export a sequence, trouble is I no longer have access to the MainConcept h264 codec. It doesn’t even appear as an option. The long story: I’m currently migrating from one machine to another. My CS3 license is currently active on the OLD machine, not the new one, as I don’t want to fully move until everything is working properly. I’m therefore using the 30-day tryout install of the CS3 suite on the NEW machine, which (so far) is fine and dandy.
So, here is what I would expect to see as my export options in AME (this is what I see on the OLD machine)…

… and they are NOT in the folder. I’ve tried moving just these codecs over from the OLD machine to the NEW machine, but still no dice.I have two suspicions…
1) The mainconcept codec won’t work in XP64. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Is anyone running PPro under XP64 and DOES have the mainconcept codecs working?
2) I have to fully ‘authorize’ the CS3 install to access the codecs… some sort of licensing issue possibly. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Is anyone using PPro as a 30 DAY TRYOUT and does have access to the mainconcept codecs? No problem to do this, but I’d like to make sure it’s going to actually work before I transfer.Thoughts?
