Exported 1080 i video is half size
Can hd 1080i video that had been captured first and rendered through sony vegas be imported into adobe premiere pro 2.0?
My Adobe 2.0 project is set to HDV 1080I 30 SONY 60. I imported the sony vegas hd 1080i 30ps avi file’s first to bin then to edited then to timeline everyting looked rendered and played great. But after I export the video to hard drive it plays on my player in half the 1080i size? It looks like a mini 1080i.
I exported with Cineform export hd, frame size 1280 h 1080 v 16:9, 29.97 fps, DVCPRO HD 1.5
We could not get the Sony HD 1080i camera to capture to the Adobe 2.0 project it would not see the video just run camera? So we used the Sony vegas editor that came with camera to capture. Is there a way to make hd captured sony vegas video to work in Preiere 2.0 without cineform aspeck hd ?
I am useing a 14 day trial cineform aspeck hd software plug in to see if the edited hd 1080i movie can be enlarge. If I have to recapture the film over again through premiere 2.0 with cineform I need this project done asp.

you should be able to capture the HDV signal with PPro 2. You need to setup the HDV project properly first. You will be working in HDV 60i or 30. That should be seeing the camera and won’t show you a picture while capturing but will allow you to see the lcd screen on the camera to see what is capturing.
This is all without the cineform software, but the cineform version will be much better speed and quality if that is installed on (PPro).
You should be able to just import the captured footage, you don’t need to export clips that have already been captured, unless they are using a codec that PPro won’t see.
Try to import (into a HDV NTSC Project) the original clips that were captured with Vegas.

Thank you I will play with it some more till I get it. I want to pull finished avi into encore dvd. The hd looks great do you know much about burning HD blue ray through Encore ? I can only burn regular dvd – R + R in encore qualty now. HD right now is a new ball game that I am now into with little knowledge. More equipment more money I will need to compress longer video to fit into best hd qualty I have used dulelayer DVD -R for large 2 hour movies How do they compress long avi movies in encore? With flash, wmv,mpeg,and keep it looking good do you no what is best way to do this?
