  imported video doesn’t show in sequence

  i seem to have problems viewing .avi files in my sequence (both rendered and unrendered if that makes a difference). i can get the video to show up just fine on the previews but when i try to put it into my sequence all i get is a black screen. =/
  how can i fix this? i’ve used .avi files before and everything was just fine but it seems like recently it just ‘turned off’ or something…

  Could you have accidentally switched off the eye on the video layer? (Left of the layer track name)

  Hi,I’m having this same problem…

  When I import the .avi file, I just see a black screen on the Sequence monitor!
  with other .avi files works fine…

  Could someone please, REALLY help us?
