    Hi. I need to shoot something next week and have someone lending me an Panasonic AG-DVX 100. It is a lit studio piece and so the film effect of shooting 24P is probably irrelevant. Since I am going direct to DVD with the edited product do you think I could simply shoot in 30P, Import via firewire, Edit in Premiere, and export
    interlaced 29.97 for use in Encore?

    Thanks. This shoot is a favor for my best post customer so forgive me if I’m sounding kind of anal here.

    Why don’t you just capture in progressive and let encore do the math? I was wondering why you wanted to use the progressive mode? If it is not for effect, maybe just use 60i and let Encore do the encoding to DVD.

    When I read the specs on the camera it didn’t mention an interlaced setting. I guess I should have assumed that.

    I know that sounds stupid…..mostly because it is I guess.

    Thanks;

    Dan
