    Hi,
I’m having an issue where I immediately lose my firewire connection to my camera whenever I try to capture to my external HD (WD mybook 500gig). I’m using Premiere Pro 2.0 on PC and my hard drive is formatted in HFS+.

I can capture to my internal HD fine, but it instantly disconnects my firewire connection whenever I try to capture to the external drive. Funny thing is that I’ve captured to a WD 250gb drive formatted in HFS+ just fine before. I have no clue what is different, or what I can do to fix it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

Sorry, I cannot help you but I have a similar problem. For some reason, in the last month, I cannot use the firewire port with Premiere Pro. It works with Moviemaker just fine but with Premiere, it gives an error saying the port may be in use by another program. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver but nothing has changed. Any help is appreciated!
