  Help!! all my imported video is black and white! help!

  Hi, i was reading over the forum, and i couldnt find a topic quite like mine, and if there is a forum that explains this, im sorry, but im in a jam!

  All of our imported video from dvd is in black and white and grainy on premier pro cs3, and for the love of it, i cant figure out why! does anyone have any suggestions, or is there something that im just not toggling properly?

  The DVD player is running through the Matrox RT.x2 and we have used this same set up when using cs2 but it seems like after we upgraded, everything is buggy, and messed up. we are just getting realy frustrated.

  Replace the S/Video cable going from the DVD player to the Matrox.

  Some might also be tempted to say, replace the Matrox 🙂

  Yes, as Mike said, you are missing the Chominance part of the signal, maybe a bent pin, I would check that first.

  Thanks, but the problem is we are not using Svideo, we are using RCA.

  And the DVD you are playing is not PAL correct 🙂

  My best guess is that your capture setting is set to component at the Matrox level.

  On a side note, you should probaby be using component if your player provides it.
