Hi, I have two different problems using the Project Manager. The first one is that when I open a trimmed project (exclude unused files, handles=6) all the videos are shown as offline. If I try to open one of these videos in windows explorer, none of my media player is able to open the video. And if I try to use “Link Media” in premiere, trying to link to the trimmed video, I get an error message of unsupported or damaged file (But it was made by Premiere itself!!)

The second problem is only about one of the projects, where I’m not able to accomplish regularly the project manager operation. After a While in fact I get an error message saying “an unknown error occurred during the Project manager operation. Please save your project and retry the operation”.
I tried to change name, folder subfolder, hard disk, but it’s always the same. I tried also to split the original project into 2 different shortest project thinking that at least one of these should have worked, but it didn’t. Any suggestions?

    What version of Premiere?
Are you using a 3rd party capture card…Matrox, Decklink, etc?
    Anything like Norton running?

… also, will any of the clips created by Premiere from the project trim open and play in any media player?

    Baz

What would I do without the ‘UNDO’ button!!!!

I’m not using any card, just with the firewire cable. And I’m running Zone Alarm and AVG antivirus.
The version is premiere pro 2.0 and none of the trimmed avi can be opened.

Both screen shots appear identical, advising that you do not have the codec for this Format of video installed on your PC. What does GSpot say when you click on “More info…” under Video Codec>Stat?
