  Capturing HDV 720p 24fps?

  Hi All,

  I am new to Adobe Premier Pro CS3. I have been a final cut user for years, but Adobe Premier Pro is the only editing software that perfectly captures whole HDV tapes from my JVC GYHD110u.

  I shot stuff in 720p 24fps and I don’t see those settings when I set up a new project in Adobe. How do I create that customized setting to capture and use as a timeline? Is it possible? If not, what is the next best option?

  I need more sleep. Didn’t see the custom settings button. I was told that setting it to 23.973 works for native 24fps cameras like mine, but it is touch and go with audio/visual syncing if your camera does not shoot native 24fps but instead uses a pulldown to “fake it.”

  I’ve got the same camera and I’m having real problems getting it into CS3 when in 720p 24fps mode.

  The settings all look fine, 23.97fps is selected but when the footage gets imported into CS3 it changes to 29.97fps and thus all the audio is out of sync.

  Does anyone have and suggestions?
