  25P or 30P

  I want to import an HD QT movie into Premiere for encoding for Encore (Blu-ray).

  Supposedly it’s 720 24P, but I have a choice of either 720/25 or 720/30 when importing and both say progressive. Which should I use?

  30P with pulldown.

  In the playback settings.

  30P does not have pulldown, hence the “P” designation.
  You would need 30i (officially, 59.94i) to use pulldown.

  Or, make a custom setup that is 24P. (Which is probably 23.98P).

  …and you thought digital was easier… ;>)

  Guys, are you sure premiere can do pull downs? I am not aware Pro does that at all.

  P.S.: I have a Canon HV20.
