So I am trying to create a graphic for a presentation where water droplets fall onto the screen and their ripples create circles which have text in them. These circles will vary in size and placement on screen. I am mostly an editor will a little after-effects/motion knowledge but it sounds pretty simple. Also I have After Effects 5.5. I checked out the tutorial on the water droplets but think the filters are not available for 5.5, Any thoughts?

If you could just imagine the amount of time that question has been asked.

Search in the COW Archives and you’ll get your answer pretty quickly 🙂

For everything else, add Distort > Ripple to your text and your captured video.

Or…Ellipse + Displacement map + blur. But if you have little knowledge in After Effects, I don’t recommand this one.

    Good luck.
