Changing multiple clip duration
Posted by Flash_user99 on November 15, 2007 at 8:37 pmDoes anyone know of an easy way to change the duration for multiple frames at once? I’m trying to import several images (thousands when i can get some of them to work in a clip) and then shorten the default duration that Premiere Pro 1.5 is setting for the images in the clip.

In there change the default still length to whatever you want it to be. Press OK.
This will only start working from now on. You will need to reimport your images, but they will all come in at the set length in the preferences.

October 10, 2014 at 1:47 pmThe post is years old, but it still appears to be a problem.
Finally found a solution that should have been obvious to me a LONG time ago (so kicking myself now).
Select all the still images, right-click, choose Speed/Duration.
Easy!
Then there’s this little trick for removing the gaps:

December 7, 2018 at 2:07 pmIt seems as if the average response time on this particular thread is about every 3-4 years. ???? Still, even in 2018, this post and this reply by Ia was very helpful.
I have one more point to add:I found out it doesn’t matter what image you put in between the gaps. I just tested this with any random image and pressed “ripple delete,” and it works. This is a relief after spending hours trying to find solutions to common, mundane editing problems in Pr.
Thank you! Oh, and by the way, I’m new here. And I do find this site useful been referring to it for years.
