Now that the release has been rolling a little bit how are people doing with projects of up to 100mb or so? I have not hit that high but some of my projects are definitely cooking Pro 2 when they get above 50 mb and I am hoping not only to upgrade but to have some solid headroom. I know all the work-arounds to keep it rolling but I am really ready to forget.
    Thanks for the info..

Interesting question! I dont understand how any project file could get that large. I have seen project files of an amateur videographer approach 50 MB. It took 3-4 minutes to load and then finally got corrupted. Other rather simple projects of his were about 25 mb.
We have had discussions here with no conclusion. I suspect that editing style might cause it, specifically editing in the timeline rather than the Source window.
I just finished a wedding…4 sequences, 1 hour long, tons of cuts. Project file size is 1.7 mb. Dance recitals in excess of 2 hours, 2 camera shoots and seldom in excess of 3 mb.

New to CS3 is embedded titles into the project file which might make it a bit larger than 2.0.

This is all episodic work with certain recurring elements. I multi cam it and tighten it in the timeline. Same style I have used since I was cutting on Avid, except the multi cam is now easier. Maybe the elements are pushing up the size of the project… I have never seen a project so small though even a 30 second commercial with some minimal titles. I did come on before just prior to or at release and people said it was allot better but I just wanted to reconfirm before I bought.

As for the titles I liked them allot better in 1.5 where they were separate so you did not have to pare down projects to save titles. Just grab and go.

Does CS3 have a function for laying dissolves over a number of cuts at the same time by lassoing the timeline or anything?
    Thanks Again

The closest Premiere has is Page-down, Ctrl+D and then repeat that to insert the default transition at edit points.
