  Renders come up one frame too short?!?!?

  Hey,

  I am using Premiere Pro and AE 7, and AspectHD from Cineform.
  So I am exporting a clip from premiere and create a new project in AE with it. (this is a 23.976 fps clip)
  When I render that out, and bring the new clip back into Premiere, it is one frame shorter than the original.

  This seems to happen to me all the time, and I have checked and double checked my setting and I cannot figure out the issue. Any ideas?

  Yes, I am rendering at 23.976 from Premiere and AE…yes, the footage is interpreted as 23.976

  Jason,

  Do you mean, when rendering a previously captured .AVI in AE7, that the very last frame is being dropped (not rendered)?

  I have noticed that AE seems as if it is stopping one frame short as well. My only suggesttion to you, if this is the case in your situation as well, is a work-around. I manually add 1 frame to the AE timeline in that project.

  That way, when I render from AE7 (the current version I have, as well), it renders a full clip’s length and doesn’t drop that very last frame.

  I am not sure why this anomoly occurs, perhaps one of our After Effects gurus here could further elaborate on this subject.

  Yes, that appears to be the problem.
  I just wish I knew WHY it was doing it.

  I posted this in the AE forum…but someone apparently decided that it should go here. I dissagree. 🙁
