    Hello there,
I am using Adobe Premiere Pro 7.0
I have put together a sequence of about 100 pictures in Windows Photo Story 3.
Saved the movie as a wmv file.
I can watch entire clip in media player fine.
When I import entire clip into Premiere Pro, and render it, upon replay, about half way through the clip one of the moving “still” pictures goes black and then a gray bar appears. then it just plays on to the next picture fine. I have tried deleting and re-inserting picture, re-saving movie, and re-importing file, but there is always that bit of “interference”. The funny thing is, if I delete the picture all together, the interference will still happen in the previous picture.
    Any suggestions?
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Make sure you export uncompressed from your third party application. WMV is NOT meant to be edited, and wasn’t compatible with Premiere 7. The quality would greatly suffer as well.

I exported file as a dv avi using movie maker. Then I imported that to Premiere Pro. Did not require any rendering. When I played it, it got hung up on picture number 60 of 65 until next transition on timeline.
What do you recommend I export file as? Any free converters out there? Thank you sooo much for any help you can provide.

DV AVI is what you want. Sounds more like a software issue to me.
