  mirror effect ripples

  Hi,

  I am using the mirror effect. I was wondering incase I can have the image created by the mirror i.e the mirror image to have ripples. As if like reflections on water. But just the image and not the actual subject.

  Please suggest.

  1. Apply the mirror effect.
  2. Duplicate the clip and place directly above original.
  3. Apply 4 point garbage matte to the copy and configure to cover only the mirrored part of the copy.
  4. Apply the ripple effect or one of the distort effects to the copy. Add a bit of blur as well.

  Thanks again. Did as suggested and it did help. Infact learnt quite a few things today with the very apt pointers.
