Hi. I’ve been putting together a project mainly from still images. Everything looks fine, except when I play my project, in the preview window the still are magnified at least 50%. In the bin window it looks totally normal, just in the preview window is the problem. What gives?

Check that your window is set to “fit”. If it is, use the motion settings to scale it down.

Vince, I’m fairly new to CS3 and I’m having the same enlarged image problem in my program monitor. I always try to figure things out before asking but I’ll be darned if I can find any “Motion” settings on the effects. I’ve tried a zillion of these things and just can’t seem to locate any way to adjust the size of the image. On “crop” a horizontal line appears in the time line clip but all it does is darken the image when I pull it down to the bottom. I did find one setting that reduced the size of the image but it is not adjustable and it leaves small black bars at the top and bottom of the image. Also is there any way to simply move the image around to get better composition? I’m using the CS3 I got as an upgrde from PPRO 2.0-TIA for any suggestions-Gary

    Gary,

Remember, it’s the “effect controls” window you will be using. Motion is there by default, you don’t have to add it as an effect.

If you can’t see it, go to windows,> Workspace> editing, that should bring back everything to default layout.
Your image also has to be selected for the motion settings to appear. From there you can zoom, pan, etc.

Vincent, that was just too easy. Thanks so so much, the obvious just doesn’t become so obvious sometimes unless we are led by the hand-ha!! Appreciate your input-Gary
