  AE 6.5 Project crashed!

  Hi all, i just tried to open an AE 6.5 project that i saved 2 hrs ago but i keep recieving an error “missing data in file” (33:4).
  Is there any possibility to recover that project?

  try importing the project into a blank AE project – just like importing images, you can import after effects projects.

  By any chance did you make a copy. Cause if you made a copy you could open the copy.

  Just kidding, but seriously everyone here has lost hours if not days of work to a black hole somewhere. Chalk it up to experience and start incrementally saving and using the new auto-save in AE7.

  It’s happened to me and the second time around doing the same thing was a lot easier.
