    Hi

I’ve recently opened a Premiere CS3 project in 2.0 Pro, but have found that my audio tracks are locked and will not unlock.

What’s strange is that all the tracks play fine, and i can even see the keyframes and edits that i originally made.

Is this just a problem with opening CS3 projects in an older version of Premiere? I’ve recently given up with CS3 so I’m really hoping to get everything working in 2.0.

Any help would be really appreciated. It’s a pretty important project for me.

    Thanks in advance

    Mike

This has always been a problem with almost every application out there. Backwards compatibility.

I am curious why you are giving up on CS3 though.

I can’t get around the license bug. I’ve followed al the steps on the Adone help centre but to no avail. 🙁

Make sure your audio track’s “Show Keyframe” mode is set to “Show Clip Keyframes” and not track keyframes. Did you use the audio mixer to set those keyframes originally? If so, BEWARE, the keyframes are permanent and wont move with the clip!!!

Yea, all the audio clips are on “show clip keyframes”.

I can even move the keyframes manually in the “effect controls” window (the keyframes are just changes in volume).

But the problem persists – i cann’t lock or unlock any tracks in my project.
