  QuickTime version 7.2

  I’ve installed QTPro 7.2 with its new codec. Wondering about the output relationship in PP2. When output to movie is selected and I choose MOV – will PP2 use the new codecs associated with 7.2 – or would it be better to go through two steps. Output to Microsoft DV AVI, and then process using QTP 7.2?

  Any experience here?

  I am not aware of any codec updates from 7.1 to 7.2. H264 is the biggest update from 6.x to 7.x. This also is available in Premiere 2 when QT 7 is installed, although there are more options in QT Pro than Premiere and many folks prefer QT Pro for H264 encoding.
  If your movie is not too long, export from Premiere as Microsoft AVI (not DV), uncompressed.
