  • What EDL Format(s) does Premier Pro support?

Posted by Stevie Mac on September 16, 2007 at 12:56 pm

I’ve been asked if it is possible to transfer an EDL for a project from FCP to Premier Pro.
Both Platforms would be accessing the same group of files from the same drive containing catalogued folders containing the footage.
This footage was captured in Premier later imported and edited in FCP.
Now that the project is complete my client who is also an editor – but didn’t have time to edit the project themselves would like to have the option – if possible to work on a different version of the project on their own Premier system.
    FCP supports:
    CMX 3600
    CMX 340
    Sony 5000
    Sony 9100
    GVG 4 Plus
Which, if any of these formats would be most compatible?

Premiere CS3 can only import and export to CMX3600.

    Cheers,
