  • Dropped frames when capturing DV footage on CS3 Mac

I own a production company and after many years of PC/Premiere Pro I decided to purchase a Mac Pro. Because of my work load I don’t have to time to learn FCut right away, so I of course installed CS3. It is nearly identical to Pro 2.o which I’ve been using for quite some time on the PC but when I go to capture, it drops multiple frames which has never happened with the PC. Have others found this same problem…and is there a simple fix? Thanks!

I am experiencing the same problem. The only way I can seem to get the video is by capturing using DV/DVCPRO compression… I want to have the highest quality as possible, but no luck using no compression. It’s dropping a ton of frames.

I am not as proficient with this as someone who is a pro… so forgive my ignorance. The footage I believe was taken on an XL2 at 60i. Should my capture settings reflect this as well?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
