Exporting DV25 files in CS3
Hello all
I am trying to export true DV25 files out of Primiere pro to play out of a small program (Virtual Transport) via firewire to sync to do Audio Post. The files coming out do not work but if I place them in procoder those files work perfect. What does Primiere put in the DV file that is wrong? Can someone go step by step if you know how to do this. Or maybe send me a 1 sec file so I can check if it works? Thanks in advance.Dennis Gaines

Are you trying to export directly out of Ppro over VT to a second computer? or making a file and transfering it? -

Sorry, I wasn’t clear. Here is my setup: Ppro- export DV25 files to import into VT (which will lock and chase Pyramix). VT will output DV25 files via firewire to a Canopus ADVC 110 to a projector. MSDV doesn’t work for some reason. What is different that the Procoder does that Ppro doesn’t?

The MSDV.avi output through Export->Movie is supposed to be a direct show format and should work in the DS player, what you could do, there is a utility that can be downloaded called gspot that might be able to tell you the difference between Procoder and Ppro’s DV video.

I should have thought about this before, Ppro is exporting a DS DV type II, Procoder is probably making a DS DV type I and if you use the camcorder capture in Pyramix/vt it is probably capturing to DS DV Type I that maybe the difference
