  • AE WAV to PPRO?

Posted by Mbevilacqua on June 19, 2007 at 11:02 pm

This can’t be that complicated but…

I have video with audio in AE which is 44k 32bits and I want to move that to PPRO.
If I render AVI uncompressed I only get the option to output 16 bit audio.
If I render video only and audio only to wav I cant output 32 bit audio but PPRO won’t read it.

    What am I doing wrong??
Any idea? tutorial? or page from the manual?

    Thank you.

  • It would help to know what your comp settings are. Is it possible audio is muted on export? (Speaker box is greyed out – timeline view) Also if you are running PPro2.0 native, you may not be able to export anything other than 48k 16 bit which Premiere sees just fine. If you have CS-2 and all else fails, you have the option under edit tab to edit in Audition. You might be able to determine where the problem is. (possible phase cancellation, or level issues.)

Thank you Gene but it’s not a problem with the content of the audio.
Files exported as WAV 32 bit are just fine and I can hear them un Audition.

It seems that PPRO 2.0 doesn’t like the codec AE uses to export which is outstanding.

I can convert everything but it’ll take a LOT of time.
