Has anybody ever had this problem:

I’m capturing 720P HDV in PP2 at 24 fps. Every once in a while PP2 changes the frame rate on a clip to 59.94 FPS. It seems random and I KNOW I’m not changing any of the settings. The only way I’ve been able to fix the problem is by manualy deleting the media files, including the media cache files and then relogging the clip. Any thoughts out there???????? It’s very annoying and it’s really slowing me down.

We need a little more info:

    a) Are you capturing within Premiere Pro?
    b) Do you have any other hardware or software that interacts with Premiere Pro (Cineform or Matrox?)
    c) What are your project settings?

    Hi Aanarav,

    Thanks for attempting to help.

    a) Are you capturing within Premiere Pro?

    Yes

    b) Do you have any other hardware or software that interacts with Premiere Pro (Cineform or Matrox?)

    No

    c) What are your project settings?

I’m capturing at 720P with a frame rate of 24 FPS (23.97)– 16:9 aspect ratio and HDV

How frequently does this occur? Do the clips that face these problems have anything in common? (duration?)
