    Today i try to solve some question on my favorite AE app:
    One of them is how to switch off the back side of a 3D layer or to fill it with color.
    For a long time i’m using 2 layers with a small Z offset…
    Not a good solution with motion blur !

    Combustion has two simple check box for “front” and “back”.
    Any idea on AE7 ?

    Thanks

    You need to apply an expression that triggers opacity or whatever effect you wana use. Dan Ebberts provided some code for this. Try to find it in one of last year’s posts. You could also try Buena Software’s Depth Cue. It contains a plugin for this type of stuff.

    I can’t understand how he does but it’s always perfect:
    if (toCompVec([0, 0, 1])[2] > 0 ) value else 0

    Thanks Mylenium and thanks Dan
