Bad downscaling in Premiere
Hello 🙂
once again, I noticed how bad Premiere is at downscaling.
The same HD Clip downscaled in Premiere gives MUCH worse results that in After Effects. I am no expert, but has it something to do with different Algorhythms, like those you can choose in Photoshop. That “bicubic” or what it’s exact name.The worst case I’ve found is going from HD to a small podcast format. OF course for the same reasons.
Anyway, it leaves a bad feeling everytime I convert to SD for DVD or anything else in Premiere.
Is there a better solution ? Is there something in the preferences ?

Thank You! But I wonder:
why are that important informations so hard to get.
I was on a show by adobe for the new features of CS3 and afterwards decided NOT to do the upgrade, because I couldn’t see serious improvements. But fixes like that ARE worth the money. Why isn’t there a liste of the REAL improvements. I don’t care about “Puppet Tool” ans such nonsens.Thank You Steven!

Good question. It seems that some companies don’t like to list the bug fixes in each release. Adobe is one of those companies. Why? I have no idea.
