    Hi there

A very simple question I am sure. I have just upgraded from Premiere 6.5 to Premiere Pro 2.0, I have also upgraded my camera to a Fuji Finepix 9600.

I believe the camera records video in 640×480 MJPG format and Premeire does seem to work with these files. What I could really do with is some advice regarding the best initial project settings and export settings to get Premeire to retain the quality of the original clip.

As you have already worked out I am not a professional! I use premiere to make biketrials videos for my website, but know my way around the program and know the basics on codecs / resolutions etc, we just to be able to edit the clips, then export the finish video in the same quality that it came off the camera.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    James

Premiere doesn’t contain a Mjpeg codec, you can get one from morgan-multimedia.com, or you can try the matrox codecs.exe in the support section of matrox.com

Thanks a lot for your help.

I downloaded the PicVid Mjpeg codec and it works very well, very fast and reliable, also works in Premiere 6.5.

    Appreciate the reply.
