Digital Pixelation when exporting to tape (Premiere Pro 2.0)
I captured footage in Premiere Pro 2.0 from a DVCPro tape (via a SONY DSR1500AP deck)When I then export the captured footage to tape (mini DV), it comes out playing digitally pixelated. (The audio is fine)
…so I tried exporting as a ‘movie’ (dv .avi file) and the footage comes out fine…it’s just when I export to tape that it dosen’t come out clear.
I’m sure there’s a setting I need to adjust, but I can’t seem to get it right.
Please help!!!

Did you capture it as DVCPro? If so, you can not export it back out to a Sony DSR-1500 as DVCPro as the deck will not record that format. Just second guessing here, you might try to create a new project with DV settings, and import your trouble project in. You might have to render the timeline, but then try an export to tape.

(I had captured the footage as DV) Your suggestion to render the whole timeline was a Gem!!! The .avi that I had captured wasn’t getting the green render line on the time line when I rendered it so, in order for the whole time line to be rendered, I created a ‘titler’ with absolutely nothing in it and placed in video track 4 above eveything else and stretched it out along the duration of the project. When I hit ‘render sequence’ it then was able to render the whole timeline. When I then exported it to tape, the imported .avi footage was no longer pixelated. Thank you so much for your help!!!!
