What is the best way to separate split audio tracks (music on one channel vocals on the other)?

It seems the track is locked together and won’t let me separate it manually no matter what I do. So I panned the track all to the left to only get the music, which seemed to work until i exported it. The vocals reappeared on two particular tracks in the quicktime file.

    Help!

    Problem solved.

I unchecked the “Stereo Pair” button and it allowed me to separate the tracks.
I knew I could do this, I just couldn’t find where the option was.
