Exporting problems with HDR-FX1
I’m having some difficulties here…
I just recently bought Sony’s HDR-FX1 and it works great. When I capture my footage from it however(HDV 1440X1080)it’s capturing as an MPEG rather than AVI(which is what it captured as when I was using DV cameras) Editing and playback while editing work fine in Premiere Pro 2. However, I’m an independent filmmaker and like to edit simultaneously while shooting. When I was using DV and Premiere 6 I would be able to edit a scene save it off as a lossless AVI and bring it back later into my final cut. In Premiere Pro when I do this, my video either has choppy audio, wavy lines, wrong aspect ratio, or it plays very slow. I’m exporting as Microsoft AVI(No compression) at 1440×1080 1.333 I’ve tried exporting with almost every other setting and codec,(Including media encoder seconds) and each one I run into one of the above mentioned problems, or quality loss, or my undesired frame size. Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong? Or tell me the best way to save off my edited MPEG without any loss of quality? I know MPEGS are horrible for editing and I’m sure this is a big part of the problem, but what am I to do if this is the only way I can hapture HD??
