  PPRO CS3 CODECs

  Can someone please explain what CODECs I would have available within PPRO(CS3) with a system based on the AJA or Matrox cards? I am particularly interested in CODECs at 4:2:2 or higher.

  Q2: How is the media management in P PRo compared with some of the older pro systems like Avid or Media 100? (I’m thinking about how well it keeps track of media for a given project, does it offer draft media and then redig at higher res, Can I offload all the media onto a hard drive and then bring it back to restore an edit session/project, etc.)

  I believe that AJA and Matrox provide their own codecs. And I have not seen any documentation showing that info on any of the new CS3 pages.

  Studio Daily recently did a Matrox RT.X2/PPro review. They had
  quite a lot of shenanigans to deal with, by the sounds of it.
