Audio Popping
When my students render out a .avi in Premiere Pro or AE, they get pops and clicks throughout the avi. The original file sounds fine in RAM preview. Audio settings are 48k, stereo. What could be the problem?

It is likely that your audio meters are getting close or into the red, you need to either reduce the overhall volume (to around -6db), or apply the dynamics effect with compression.
Other reasons include errors in the original audio track (happens in DV sometimes), this causes more of a drop, or a sharp short high frequency pop.
Certain exports do cause a slight gain on audio tracks, so the audio peeking is pretty likely. As far as 48k vs 44k, I would just try to match the original. But that “shouldn’t” cause issues, at least it never does in my case.
