  Jerky video with Adobe premier pro 7.0

  Jerky video with Adobe premier pro 7.0 – I am recording with a new Sony Handy cam with a hard drive. When I import into the program and drop the vidio into the time line and try to view it, the video is very jerky like it

  Premiere v7 is Ppro v1, Harddisk camcorders use types of Mpeg compression, Ppro versions other than Version 2 do not like the Mpeg format except for Mpeg 1, if you have a DVD or hardisk camcorder you are better off with Premiere Elements 3 or Ulead Video Studio.

  Dont expect smooth playback of any video in either program, as your computer lacks the horsepower and hard drive speed to deliver. You will get better playback with digital video (DV) than compressed video.
