  DV capture problem

  Happy New Year!!

  well, I’m wondering if anyone might have an idea why this might be? >

  I have Premiere Pro 2 running on a healthy and fast PC, and I have recently bought a little
  Canon MVX200i, which should do me fine for the addition of some video footage to my mostly graphic and animated visual productions…

  problem is, Premiere doesn’t seem to recognise the camera – when I go to capture, it tells me there is no device connected. Window XP is picking up the camera alright, and I am able to capture footage with Windows basic video capture wizard… but not with Premiere…

  Why is this, can anyone tell me?

  How are you connecting? via USB or Firewire? What canon device type are you using in Options section?
