  Export to tape

  We are trying to assemble edit to a pre-stiped BCSP tape (UVW1800 deck). We need to pre-stripe manually, then PPRO controls the deck in remote, pre-rolls to the in pre-roll point, rolls to the in-point and then forces a time code jump and throws the timelime playout back as well. (Program starts is delyed by the same factor as the timecode jump).

  We are not newbies, we have used NLEs to do this function for years.

  What gives?

  Deck’s TCG set to Internal/Regen?

  It’s been awhile since I worked with the 1800 but there should be a TCG setting to select either preset or regen mode. The key word is should. If it’s not a switch then it should be in the menus. I don’t know if that is the source of your problems but it is worth looking into.
