I am using Prem Pro 2.0 to edit my video clips but am having some trouble with text and still images. Anytime I import an image, be it a .jpg, .pdf or .gif file the image is crystal clear in the preview screen. However, when added to the timeline and played back, the image blurs greatly. If I render the clip and export it, the image is still blurry.

Does anyone know why this is and how I may fix it?

There is a known issue with still images with motion applied AND “Default scale to frame size” selected in Preferences (General). Premiere creates a scaled image in media cache matching your Project Settings. Applying motion then results in poor images.

So I’m guess this means there is no way around it?

Deselect default scale to frame size in your preferences.
